Build strength within your range-of-motion in your hamstrings and watch as the rest of your body responds. A slow, steady practice with some standing balance. A set of blocks might be helpful as well as a blanket for the knees.
A well-rounded practice that includes Asana, breathwork, relaxation, self massage, and meditation. A set of blocks and a pair of lacrosse balls (or tennis balls, or therapy balls) are recommended.
In this class we will really slow down, connect to the breath, and promote a sense of ease in our body and mind. Moving toward tree pose we'll work on some focusing exercises to help us prepare for balance. No props needed, but a blanket for the knees or a set of blocks can be helpful.

In this 60min class we'll focus on opening the front of the body, especially the chest muscles, the hip flexors, and the quads, as we simultaneously strengthen the back body, especially the muscles along side of the spine, the upper back, the glutes, and the hamstrings. This work will prepare us for deeper, more stable backbends. Give full wheel a try! A blanket and set of blocks are optional.

A weak spot for many of us, the inner thighs and groins relate directly to our abdominal strength and stability. Change your experience of some of some classic yoga postures by bringing awareness to the inner thighs. We'll also borrow a bit from barre and Pilates. Suitable for all levels. This 35min gentle yoga class is intended to be practiced first thing in the morning. Roll out of bed, hop on your mat, and tune into your body, breath and mind. Practice returning your awareness to the present moment, and to your own personal intention as you move through a series of gentle movements and stretches for the whole body. Suitable for all levels. A blanket or two may be helpful.
In this 40min Yoga Roots practice, we'll focus on opening the front body, and strengthening the back body, which can be very therapeutic after sitting for long stretches, especially with poor posture. In this practice we will learn some of the fundamentals of balance: awareness of the core, rooting into the feet, strengthening and stabilizing the hips and legs, as we move toward virabhadrasana 3 (warrior 3) and vrksasana (tree pose). Suitable for beginners and up. Optional props: a blanket and two blocks, can substitute with a towel and two soup cans.
